The children who live next door have an easy time during the summer. They have 5 siblings living with them there and all of them drive but two. They range in age from 20 to 15 and the youngest two are about to start driving.

I am a driving lessons course instructor and have offered to give the two youngsters lessons for a small fee. The oldest two have summer jobs and the next two oldest works only on weekends. I have informed the parents they need to get the youngest two, Todd and Sally on their insurance group coverage before we begin the actually driving part of the course I will be teaching them. I will start Monday after work, around 4 PM. They need to have proof of the insurance group coverage for my time with them in my training car as well as permission for me to begin to teach them signatures on the forms I gave them when we discussed this last month.

Jerry has a classic car in his garage I would love to take for a spin. I am hoping I do a good enough job he will consider selling it to me. It’s a Shelby and this classic car is in mint condition. Absolutely beautiful classic car and it’s under a velvet tarp in the back of his garage. I have hinted around about wanting this car, but Jerry is also always in a hurry to get somewhere and we never get that far into a conversation for me to talk to him about it. I can just imagine the cost to add it under my insurance group coverage, but it's something I am willing to do to have it.

The lessons start tomorrow and I have a list of the forms and preparations I need to get started with first. I love my job because it keeps me busy and I know I am helping our youth to one day become responsible drivers. These lessons will go on all summer, first the written part to be handled at my home in the den, and then in the streets once they pass the written and get their learning permits. By September they will both be licensed drivers and hopefully I will get more thana couple of minutes with their dad Jerry.
