I was talking to my brother on the phone about how my driving was going, it had been going really well in fact, and has my instructor had told me he didn't think I'd be too long before I was ready I was now making sure I had other things clear in my mind. I knew the important stuff I needed to do such as revise for my theory, practice for my hazard perception and book the test. But was also starting to look into which insurance groupsthe cars I liked and would want to buy fell into and things like that too.

My brother had so far been very helpful, has he had past his test a year ago. His driving school was a larger more knownone as he lived in a city,where mine was a small local independent one in the small town whereI lived,so he had mentioned how the website for his had many useful tools. As he lived in Leeds he was now explaining to me with his statementthe easiest way to find the website for his old driving school.

He had also been pointing me in a few right directions as far as insurance groups were concerned, I had no idea what all the different covers meant really or which one was better for me, never mind which cars fell into which insurance groups. I didn't even know which insurance company to start with never mind anything else! I had assumed the smaller the car the lower the insurance. Apparently technically not true aseven a small car can have a powerful engine and other factors that make it a high insurance group. Talk about confused!

I looked into a few companieseven though I didn't know what I was looking for really, and some of them had deals for young drivers, some of them discriminated against young drivers and some of them just didn't even accept young drivers. Which I felt was shocking. I had a bonus that I was mid twenties so wasn't really classed as one, but also didn't know with being a new driver I fell into the samegroup.

My brother and I talked for what felt like hours about all my worries and concerns, by theendof the call my head was that messed up and so full of information. I decided that maybe I should learn to actually drive the carbefore I worry about all the other things involved!
