Our van just passes a row of schools. But it is not what we are looking for. We were told to look out for driving schools. Unfortunately I have forgotten the names of the driving schools my friends and I are supposed to stop by.
Johan says it is useless. We have driven by several schools and none of them was a driving school. Perhaps it is easier for us all to go our separate ways to deliver our pamphlets. Perhaps it will be faster if he goes on a motorbike.
I ask him if it is possible for him to carry the heavy boxes of pamphlets on a motorbike. Victor agrees with Johan that it is still possible. Johan would just have to fetch Victor along. I shake my head, disagreeing. We have already paid for the van. It is pointless to argue further. A motorbike may be a good plan but we are stuck with the van, for now.
The problem is none of us is familiar with the district. Perhaps we should have stopped and asked someone. Johan and Victor agree immediately. The task is given to me.
So, upon seeing the first pedestrian available, we stop the van. I get down and ask for direction. Unfortunately, the nice old man has a poor hearing and I have to raise my voice. I feel bad. It is like I am shouting at a kind man who is only too willing to help.
He keeps asking me which school I am looking for. I shout out driving school as I gesture with my hands, like I am holding a steering wheel and make some movement as if I am driving. driving schools uk, I shout. Oh, the old man says. He ponders for a while, and point out to the lane behind me. I turn to look. Johan and Victor struggle to see from inside the van. And sure enough, there we see two huge signboards that read out what we are looking for - the driving schools.
Johan, Victor and I were so caught up with the frustration that we failed to see that we have already reached our destination.
